These Rathbone Energy BP-90 units are enhanced replacements for the industry  standard   BP-90 battery pack.

Each battery stack is individually insulated by for  improved durability against hard bumps and elevated temperatures. 

The integrity of the pack is achieved by glue (which is injected between each stack), paper tubes, and reinforced tape. Stacks are interconnected with nickel plated weld straps for extra low resistance. A very reliable internal re-settable fuse eliminates the frustration of having to break the pack apart for fuse replacement, (a tedious replaceable fuse may be substituted at your request but is not recommended). The battery pack is enclosed in a durable thick Kydex plastic case with rounded corners for easy insertion. The case is a light pewter gray to reflect the sun and additional heat.

We use ONLY Sony Brand Power Cords for Best performance and True reliability (No cheap substitutes to reduce cost on any Rathbone Energy battery pack !). The pull ribbon can be custom ordered in any of ten different colors for crew identification. The label, which is recessed to prevent constant scratching, has an area for the stations call letters. The specification charts point out the cells and components utilized for extended life and reliability. These units were designed from the ground up to be a very durable and long lasting battery pack. We can also custom build or rebuild any pack to your specifications. Nickel Cadmium battery cells are environmentally unfriendly. Thanks to International Environmental Concerns and the good laws of other countries, our battery cell manufacturers have already started to phase nickel cadmium from their manufacturing lines.  Panasonic did so three years ago. Being an Environmentally Conscious Company, and Now having our own line of broadcast battery packs, Rathbone Energy is now phasing nickel cadmium out as well and expects to be finished by 2010, no longer supporting the rebuild of Anton Bauer products.  Being the only Battery Assembler Worldwide that supports rebuilding battery packs, we understand that this will create a hardship on those invested in Anton Bauer nickel cadmium but offer a great alternative.
