• Things you should consider when making a battery cell choice:

  • Cell brand

  • Exact cell model number

    • Each letter and number in the model is important

  • Cell Specifications

    • Not from a salesperson but from the manufacturers spec sheet

    • Expected / average charge-discharge cycles

    • Expected / average capacity of the cell (C/1 rate, not C\2)

    • Charge Rate: 1 hour, 2 hour, overnight

    • Discharge Rate: You want rapid rating. DR, CR, CSR

    • How well the cell handles heat (You want R rating)

    • Cell tabs

    • Welding technique
